Dear Associates,

We are going through an extremely challenging economic and political moment that demands the best from entrepreneurs and managers to overcome obstacles. On the other hand, economic recovery will require companies to reinvent themselves to respond to the global challenges posed by climate change, digitization, and the transformation of the labor market.

In this context, the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry CCIP, with its 189 years of history, remains faithful to its founding principle of “promoting everything that can be considered useful to Portuguese Commerce and tending to national prosperity”.

It is for this reason, with a sense of responsibility to continue this legacy and the ambition to challenge the future, that I want the CCIP, throughout my mandate, to be the reference for companies in Portugal, in support of growth, export and internationalization.

On the other hand, we intend the CCIP promotes a model of constant and daring competitiveness for the country, based on the construction of strong brands as a fundamental pillar of creating value for the economy and society.
